BGSU gymnasts placed fourth this past weekend in a quad meet versus Arizona, Illinois, and Texas, scoring 192.050 points compared to Arizona’s 195.875.  It was the squad’s first multi-team meet of the season, with only two-team matches scheduled for the rest of the year.

Three Falcons placed in the all-around: Kathryn Weilbacher (4th), Dahlia Solorzano-Caruso (5th), and Taylor Jensen (6th). Weilbacher improved upon her scores from last week’s NIU meet, setting a new personal record for the season in the vault and on the floor.

Though Bowling Green missed third place overall by about two points, Weilbacher led the team in the floor exercise and the beam, scoring 9.750 and 9.725 respectively. Freshman Isabella Rivelli added another strong performance with a tie for fifth on the uneven bars, the highest placing for a Falcon in one individual event for the meet.

With this meet in the books, the Brown and Orange return to Anderson Arena for their home opener against rival Western Michigan on Friday, Jan. 20, starting at 6 p.m.
