BGSU Swim and Dive hit the road last night up I-75 to take on the Oakland Golden Grizzlies, and were defeated by the score of 192-108.

Bowling Green had depth in terms of finishes, as they ended with eight second-place finishes, but struggled to get first place finishes, totaling just three, and that ultimately set them behind on the night.

Junior Livia Castro got two of those wins, finishing in first place in the 500 freestyle with a time of 5:12:72 and the 1000 freestyle with a time of 10:36:15. Her teammate Emily McNicol also took home a first place finish, winning the 100 backstroke with a time of 57:13

On the diving side of things, sophomore Elise Snyder took home the three-meter dive with a score of 296.85. She was flanked close behind by her teammate Rayah Blood, who finished second with a score of 268.25.

Bowling Green goes back on the road next week as they head to Buffalo to take on the Bulls. The meet is scheduled for Saturday, Jan. 28, at noon.
