BGSU Track & Field Ends Regular Season on a High

Bowling Green Track and Field traveled to the Silverston Invitational in Ann Arbor, Mich. on Friday to conclude their regular season.

This event held many inspiring moments for the Falcons as they looked close out the season on a high note.

For the track portion of the event, sophomore Alexis Parchman placed sixth overall in the 200 meter, leading all other Falcons with a personal record time of 25.43 seconds.

In the 400-meter, senior Tianna Mulligan reached a personal record time of 58.12 seconds, earning herself second overall.

For the 600-meter, freshman Izzy Best and sophomore Raegan Burkey both placed in the top five, earning third and fourth respectively.

Breaking a school record was Senior Katerina Shuble broke a school record, getting a 2:14.16 in the 800 meter for the fifth best time in BGSU history.

To begin the field portion of the invitational, Parchman earned herself fourth in the triple jump.

Shot put was the highlight of the day for BGSU as senior Zaresha Neal placed first in the event with 16.76 meters. 

Three other Falcons also cracked the top 10.

Overall, Bowling Green had an impressive showing at the Silverston Invitational as they look forward the MAC Championship next weekend.
