UPDATE: Escaped inmate found deceased following capture

Updated at 4:30 p.m. – Dakota Embry, 24, was found unresponsive in his cell and pronounced dead by first responders just shortly after being returned to Wood County Jail. Embry was under nurse surveillance every 10 minutes but became unresponsive during a ten minute window around 10:30 p.m. on Friday, June 2nd. There is no suspected foul play but Embry’s body was transported to the Lucas County Coroner’s Office for further investigation.
UPDATED at 3:15 p.m. – Via Facebook at 12:30 p.m., Bowling Green police announced Justin Firman and Dakota Embry were apprehended in Fostoria and charged with escape and transported. Both were sent to the Wood County Justice Center in Bowling Green. In addition, Emma Bulser of Deshler, Ohio (30 years of age) was charged with felony obstructing justice. The Facebook post also thanked the public for supplying information and for the following agencies for assisting: Wood County Sheriff’s office, Ohio Highway State Patrol, Findlay Police Division, Hancock County Sheriff’s Office, Fostoria Police Department and the U.S. Marshals Service.
UPDATED at 1:30 p.m. – Bowling Green police announced on Facebook that they have captured the inmates.
Original story – Late Thursday night, Bowling Green police announced on Facebook that they are searching for two escaped inmates from the Northwest Community Corrections Center on East Gypsy Lane. The inmates are Justin Firman (36, held on abduction charges) and Dakota Embry (24, held on possession of drug charges).
