Paul Simon, Surprise

With a lusciously smooth, folk and pop combination of lyrics and music, Paul Simon has, of course, made another great album. Known as half of the infamous Simon and Garfunkel duo of the 1960s, Simon worked with Art Garfunkel.

With the split of the group in 1970, The group was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 1990.

His new album is a cool reflection of his life. His soothing lyrics create a meditative quality, reminiscent of his Graceland album. Every track is deep , including reflections on politics and family values.

The last song on the album, “Father and Daughter” is from the 2002 movie, The Wild Thornberrys.
