“Junk rock band” to play tonight at Union
August 22, 2006
Recycled Percussion, a national touring group, will perform at the Union ballroom tonight at 9:30 p.m.
In its third perfomance at the University the group calls itself a junk rock band and is known to use ladders, trash cans and pots during performances.
“It’s more than just music, it’s really entertaining as well,” said Jodi Webb, associate dean of students, who was involved in bringing the group to campus.
Webb estimated that 900-1,000 students attended the event last year.
“We just decided to bring them back because the response has been so outstanding every year,” she said.
The event is being hosted by Orientation and First Year Programs and is free and open to all students.
