Blotter for 1/24/07

Monday

6:57 a.m.

Wayne L. Mannies Jr., 37, of Bowling Green, arrested for criminal damag at a Napoleon Road apartment complex. A caller reported receiving threatening notes on his apartment door. Mannies admitted to writing the notes and to breaking off the antenna and windshield wiper of a vehicle owned by one of the apartment’s residents. He also told police he spray painted a line down the side of another resident’s car. When asked why he would do these things, Mannies said the people who live above him – whose property he damaged – always have their music up when he’s trying to sleep. He told police he didn’t have a phone available to call the police on them.

12:29 a.m.

A vehicle in Lot H was displaying a homemade parking decal.

7:02 p.m.

Juvenile charged with assault and criminal damaging at the Children’s Resource Center on Klotz Road. The 11-year-old boy was reported to have been upset about playing Playstation and began to kick the furnace. He kicked the cabinet door and ripped the door off. He also bit two staff members who were trying to restrain him. Both staffers had puncture wounds when police arrived and were bleeding. Officers handcuffed him and took him to the juvenile detention center.

8:07 p.m.

Money reported missing from an East Napoleon Road apartment. The resident believes a baby-sitter took $100 from the apartment.

9:04 p.m.

Michael A. Warren, 23, of Bowling Green, arrested for possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia on Colony Lane. According to police reports, he had one rolled marijuana joint and a pack of rolling papers. Warren was also cited for driving under suspension.

9:28 p.m.

Caller reported receiving threatening text messages from a juvenile threatening her if she did not return his hat.

9:35 p.m.

The odor of marijuana was reported on the 3rd floor of Bromfield.

11:59 p.m.

Jason A. Janicki, 20, of Toledo, cited for refusing to take a breathalyzer test and open container of alcohol in a vehicle at Interstate-75 and Wooster Street. Jacob Michael Hamilton, 21, of Toledo, arrested for open container of alcohol.

Tuesday

1:56 a.m.

Fight reported at a North Main Street bar.
