At the polls Tuesday, the charter amendment was struck down by voters with 38.6 percent for to 61.4 percent against.

The Bowling Green School District’s bond request also failed, going 53.7 percent against to 46.3 percent for.

As for city council results, at-large council seats went to Sandy Rowland (D) with 2970 votes (31.20 percent) and Greg Robinette (R) with 2677 votes (28.10 percent).

Holly Cipriani, Nathan Eberly, Beverly Elwazani and Carolyn Kawecka trailed behind Rowland and Robinette.

William Herald (R) will be replacing incumbent Scott Seeliger (D) as the council member for Ward 4.

In two other ward races, incumbents pulled through. In Ward 1, Daniel Gordon (D) defended his seat on council from Hunter Sluss (R) with 253 votes to 79. Kent Ramsey (R) fell to John Zanfardino (D) 531-248 in Ward 2.

Mike Aspacher won unopposed in the Ward 3 race.
