Outside Lands is a 3-day music festival that is dedicated to “the celebration of everything we love about the Bay Area.” The festival is set to take place in San Francisco, California at the Golden State Park Aug 9th – Aug 11th. The festival was also recently named “Top Music Festival” in 2018 at the Billboard Live Music Awards.
The Headliners are: Paul Simon, Childish Gambino and Twenty-One Pilots. Other artists performing include: The Lumineers, Flume, Blink-182, Kygo, Anderson.Paak & The Free Nationals, Leon Bridges and more adored artists.
There are also other experiences that attendees can partake in, such as: comedic shows, talks, live art shows and Gastro Magic. Gastro Magic is a live show where chefs pair up with musicians, comics or artist and put on a show, both in culinary and entertainment.
Aside from the music, food and events, Outside Lands promotes sustainability and making a difference. Outside Lands is partnered with various non-profit organizations including their own. Their organization ‘Outside Lands Works’ is a “charitable program that invests in the cultural vitality of the Bay Area through grants to regional music and arts education programs.” Other organizations include: Parks Project, who are dedicated to protecting and preserving public lands and Clean Vibes, a company dedicated to educating people about recycling, composting and proper waste disposal among other organizations.
