The Undergraduate Student Government welcomed many guests at their meeting Monday night.
The first was Matthew Rubin, University of Toledo student body president, who presented the USG president, vice president and speaker with Toledo spiritwear. They then wore it for a picture. The USG members had to wear the spiritwear because they lost a bet they made with UT about the homecoming football game.
“Who’s Who in Bowling Green” was presented to USG by Deanna Woodhouse, the executive assistant to the vice president for student affairs.
Woodhouse showed photos of key administrators at the University and had the USG members tell her their names and positions.
Next, University Police Chief Monica Moll gave a presentation on ALICE, an active shooter situation training program. ALICE stands for Alert Lockdown Inform Counter Evacuate, and Moll’s presentation included a PowerPoint with information about the program and a demostration that USG members participated in.
Beau Slater, representative for the Board of Trustees, then spoke to USG about the Board of Trustees meeting.
The meeting was adjourned early at 9:10 with a vote of the senate 29 to 5. The meeting did not include old or new business, executive branch reports or other reports.
