Men’s basketball signs two guards
Men’s basketball coach Dan Dakich announced yesterday that two guards have signed a letter of intent to play for Bowling Green.
Chris Hobson, from Eisenhower High School in Illinois, and Austin Montgomery, from Perry Meridian High School in Ind., will both graduate this spring.
Hobson, who was a finalist for Ill. “Mr. Basketball,” set a school record for points with 1,948.
Montgomery averaged 20.6 points and 6.9 rebounds as a senior, and was an Indian all-star as a junior.
Women’s basketball team signs on one
Women’s basketball coach Curt Miller added a forward to his recruiting class yesterday, signing Allison Mann to a letter of intent. Mann, a 6-1 forward out of Chelsea High School in Mich, will join the Falcons next season.
Mann averaged 19.6 points and 8.2 rebounds last season, and was awraded all-state-third-team honors by the Detroit News. In signing, Mann became the seventh player to commit to the women’s team.
Women’s cross country team signs four
www.bgsufalcons.com Bowling Green State University cross country head coach Cami Wells has announced the signing of four student-athletes to National Letters of Intent. Vivien Briard (Chichey, France,) Edgar Ramirez (Carpentersville, Ill.) and Jeff Wright (Sylvania, Ohio) will join the Falcon men’s cross country program for the 2003 04 academic year, while Bridget Dalic (Strongsville, Ohio) will join the BGSU women’s cross country and track and field teams.
