Political art contest entries stolen
Six pieces of art were stolen from the Fine Arts Center. The first disappeared Tuesday night, then Wednesday and in the early hours of Friday. The other three were stolen over the weekend.
The posters were to be entered in the 9th Annual Undergraduate Art Contest presented by BGSU Libraries’ Multicultural Affairs Committee, “Art as a political statement.”
Laura Rusnack, the instructor of the class for which the posters were made, said that the incidents were infringements on the students’ freedom of speech.
A formal report has been made with campus police. If anyone has information regarding these incidents, please contact the University police department’s non-emergency line at 372-2346. For more information, read tomorrow’s edition of The BG News.
