BGSU Men’s Basketball fell once again on Saturday to the Northern Illinois Huskies.

The loss drops them to 10-13 overall and 4-6 in Mid-American Conference play.

The first half proved to be an issue for the Falcons, as the Huskies jumped out to an 11-3 lead within the first five minutes of play.

The Falcons did their best to close it up before halftime, bringing the game within four points.

However, the Huskies continued to hit shot after shot, leading by as much as 11.

Fortunately, Northern Illinois took only a seven-point lead into the halftime break.

The second half looked to be the same as the first, as BG missed three of their first four shots.

NIU led by 14 points with eight minutes to go, which was the farthest the Falcons allowed the game to get.

Bowling Green quickly found themselves down only three due to some clutch shots from sophomore Kaden Metheny and senior Chandler Turner.

However, the Huskies would regain control of the game, going on a 16-11 run to close out a road win.

The loss snaps Bowling Green’s six-game win streak over the Huskies, dating all the way back to February of 2019.

Turner led the Falcons and the game in scoring with 21 points, adding five rebounds to boot.

The Falcons hit the road to take on the Golden Flashes from Kent State on Tuesday, with tip-off  set for 7 p.m.
