The City of Bowling Green Bike Safety Commission is holding a slow roll bike ride titled “Pedal for the Planet” on April 22 at 12:00 p.m. in the parking lot at Montessori School of Bowling Green.

Riders in the event can join for free and are encouraged to stay behind and participate in the annual Earth Day Celebration hosted by local organizations on the Montessori campus.

Properly fitted helmets as well as properly sized and functional bikes are mandatory to participate in the event. Children are also encouraged to participate by utilizing a tow-behind trailer or child bike seat.

The ride will allow participants to travel a designated route with trained leaders present to ensure all riders are on the correct route as well as to aid in the case of mechanical or personal issues.
