Perrysburg hosts “Great American Cleanup” for Earth Day

Huda Abdalijalil, Reporter

This spring, the City of Perrysburg is gearing up for the annual Great American Cleanup and is searching for volunteers that would like to participate in the cleanup of local parks.

To bring the event to life, Perrysburg has partnered up with Partners for Clean Streams, an organization focused on the health of streams and rivers of the greater Toledo, Ohio region.

Volunteers are needed for April 22 from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. at Woodlands Park and Three Meadows Park, as well as for April 30 from 2:30 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. at Orleans Park and Rivercrest Park.

Participants are encouraged to register before the event. However, they are welcome to show up at any of the locations on those dates.

They will be provided with gloves, tools, safety vests and trash bags at the locations. It’s recommended to wear weather-appropriate clothing as well as comfortable and closed-toed shoes.
