Highland Community College men’s basketball guard Jason Kimbrough Jr. is reportedly transferring to BGSU, according to a report by JucoRecruiting.com on Saturday afternoon.
Kimbrough is the second transfer portal addition for head coach Todd Simon and the Falcons, joining former Missouri-St. Louis center Troy Glover II.
“Felt like home from the start; no need to delay,” Kimbrough said in a post on X on Saturday.
The 6-foot-1 guard chose the Falcons over offers from UNC Greensboro, South Carolina State University, the University of Texas Permian Basin (UTPB), Auburn University of Montgomery, Lincoln University (Pennsylvania), Western New Mexico University, Florida Tech University and Christian Brothers. He also received interest from Evansville and Long Beach State.
The Maricopa, Arizona, native averaged 18.6 points, 6.2 assists and 4.0 rebounds per game in 28 contests during the 2024-25 season. He shot 47.8% from the field, 45.7% on 3-pointers and 85.9% from the charity stripe with the Cougars, receiving First Team All Region 4 honors.

He played his freshman season at Phoenix College, where he averaged 8.2 points, 4.6 assists and 3.0 rebounds per game in 26 contests. He shot 41.3% from the field, 32.9% from deep and 86.2% on free throws in his lone season with the Bears.
