University faculty members are still pushing for the BGSU administration to rescind its decision to cut 100 faculty members.
As part of the push, the Faculty Association is planning a “grievance workshop” for March 13. The association is hosting the workshop to educate terminated faculty members on the grievance process as the 100 cuts become finalized, said David Jackson, Faculty Association president.
“We’re doing this to make sure that the people getting fired aren’t getting trampled on,” Jackson said. “We want to make sure everyone is aware of their rights.”
The workshop is scheduled for 7 p.m. at the BGSU-FA office on North Main Street, according to a Faculty Association press release.
The workshop will mark the third event the association has hosted or participated in since the cuts were announced Jan. 18.
