The BG men’s basketball team had its Orange vs. Brown intersquad scrimmage Saturday at noon.
“It felt good to be back on the basketball court and play in front of some fans again,” senior Cameron Black said.
The teams played three ten-minute games in which the Brown team defeated the Orange team in all three games. The Brown team won game one 21-6, game two 19-12 and game three 22-18. The total after all three games was 62-36 for the Brown team.
Jehvon Clarke finished with 18 points and Cameron Black finished with 16 for the Brown team. Spencer Parker lead the Orange team with 16 points.
“You can see the overall talent increase in our team,” Black said. “We are just playing hard every day.”
The Brown team’s roster consisted of the projected starting lineup of Anthony Henderson, Jehvon Clarke, Chauncey Orr, Richaun Holmes and Cameron Black.
“I think me and Richaun will be a good combination together defensively since we can both block shots,” Black said. “We played really well; we shared the ball, well, too.”
The Orange team consisted of Josh Gomez, JD Tisdale, Spencer Parker, Garrett Mayleben and Demarkeo Lyshe.
The Falcons will have their first scrimmage against a team other than themselves on Nov. 2 against Malone University at 2 p.m. at the Stroh Center.
