Students are looking to the library now for help with software and technology.
The Student Technology Assistance Center has found a new home in room 122 Library after relocating from Olscamp Hall.
“The center has been around since 2000,” said Kim Fleshman, coordinator for STAC. “We have moved five times in the last [few] years.”
The center is a “one stop shop for thesis and dissertations, which is something that all master and doctoral degrees have to complete,” she said.
STAC moved because of the department it reports to and is run by.
“We used to report to [Information Technology Services] and now we report to the Library,” Fleshman said.
Some of the features the center offers are printers, scanners, green screens and other high tech equipment, she said.
It is open Monday through Thursday 8 a.m. through 10 p.m., Friday 8 a.m. through 5 p.m. and Sunday 6 p.m. through 10 p.m.
