Students looking to have a friendly competition playing the card game Bridge might have found their club.
Bob “Mr. Happy” Moyers is a former employee of the University, where he worked in public relations as the Sports Information Director.
He is now the campus representative of the American Contract Bridge League and is starting a club for bridge players.
“We really want to find anyone that loves to play Bridge or would like to learn how to play the game,” Moyers said. “Students can form teams and compete against other schools; my hope is we can play against Toledo.”
Moyers said they are looking for interest from fraternities, sororities, international students, graduate students, off-campus students and even faculty and staff to establish the Bowling Green Campus Bridge Club.
The first meeting will be held Nov. 7 at 5:00 p.m. in Union 409, the Newlove Lounge.
“Let’s build a team so we can beat those Rockets,” he said.
