Bowling Green resident injured in hit and run

The Bowling Green Police Division is searching for a hit-and-run suspect that caused one resident to go to the hospital.

Brenda Baker, 40, was crossing the intersection of Clough and South Main streets when a charcoal four door pick-up truck struck her at 6:04 p.m., said Maj. Tony Hetrick, deputy chief of police.

Baker was taken to the Wood County Hospital and treated for non-capacitating injuries, Hetrick said.

Baker is a member of the Visual Arts Committee for the Black Swamp Arts Festival, according to the festival website.

As of Wednesday morning, there was no record of Baker still being treated, according to hospital staff.

The suspect is described as a middle-aged female with blonde hair and glasses, Hetrick said.

The case is still under investigation.
