After being awarded a $50,000 bonus at October’s Board of Trustees meetings, University President Mary Ellen Mazey recently announced she will donate it to scholarships.
This is the second consecutive year Mazey received a $50,000 bonus and the second consecutive year she donated it to scholarships.
“I’m a first generation college student and I went all the way through college on student scholarships,” Mazey said. “I will continue to support them.”
Mazey has also received a two percent salary increase the past two years on behalf of the trustees. After the most recent salary increase, Mazey makes approximately $390,000 a year.
