The student government worked with the University and on elections during President’s Day instead of having their weekly meeting Monday night.
“It’s President’s Day, so we are hoping people can make time toward recruitment efforts instead of having a meeting,” said Speaker Katie Post.
Vice President of the Undergraduate Student Government David Neely said in their constitution, USG gets one Monday off per month.
“Most are busy recruiting new students so this was the best Monday to have off this month,” he said. “We are also promoting people to go to the first info session for next year.”
They are also having their first session that students who want to run for a position in USG are required to attend. The first is Monday, February 17 at 7:30 P.M. in Olscamp 106. There are two more meetings, one on Tuesday at 6 P.M. in Olscamp 119 and one on Wednesday at 6 P.M. in the same room.
