The Bowling Green Public Works Division has surpassed its overtime budget by roughly $11,000.
The division originally had $48,742 in its overtime budget for the whole year, but has spent closer to $60,000 in less than two months, said Brian Bushong, city finance director.
As of now, Bushong is uncertain how the division will adjust its budget to fill the gap. It can either ask the city for more money or transfer funds from its existing budget.
