The Bowling Green men’s basketball team had its first day of official practice Saturday, Oct. 4.
Things have changed for them since their 12 win season a year ago. They have a new head coach, coaching staff and five new teammates added to the roster.
New head coach Chris Jans made it a priority to bring in more players this offseason. He brought in four scholarship players: Delvin Dickerson, David “Pep” Joseph, Jovan Austin and Rasheed Worrell. He also added walk on freshman Matt Fox.
The addition of the new Falcons does two things: it brings both more depth and competition to the Falcons in multiple positions.
“What they have brought so far is the competition. It’s made our ball club deeper,” Jans said. “It’s about creating a good practice environment and a competitive situation. I think that’s what this group has done more than anything.”
