With a twangy collaboration of bubble gum pop, ZZ Top riffs and a soft, yet yodeling quality, Chris Isaak’s newest release, “Best of Chris Isaak,” leaves listening asking “Why?” The interesting collaboration requires a strong stomach and a very open mind on the requirements of what makes a good album. It also evokes the intrigue of how he has released nine albums. It is also available in a CD/DVD Special Edition.
“Wicked Game” and “Baby Did a Bad Bad Thing” questions his collaboration of yodeling and a ZZ Top-style riff.
With so many distinct styles of music and interesting collaborations, it is very unnerving and uncomfortable as an album. If you are interested in his music, check out his Web site at www.chrisisaak.com.
