Here’s how to register to vote and cast a ballot this election year:
Checking your voter registration status
If you’re unsure if you’re already registered to vote, check out vote.org, which will help determine your status.
Register to vote
The easiest way to register to vote in Ohio is to visit the official Secretary of State’s website. Once there, follow the steps and fill out the form with your information.
Wood County voting
Early in-person voting starts at the Wood County Board of Elections on Oct. 6 in the Wood County Courthouse Atrium, located at 1 Courthouse Square, according to the Wood County Board of Elections official website. Regular in-person voting will be held on Nov. 3.
Absentee ballot voting
If you are not planning on voting in person and are not registered to vote in Wood County, you will need to request an absentee ballot. This can easily be done via the Secretary of State’s website, and you can select the address you want it sent to.
