If you have any respect for hip hop, rap or “Adult Swim,” then you need to pick up DangerDoom’s latest album, “The Mouse and The Mask.”
With an all-star cast of MF Doom, Danger Mouse, Ghostface Killah, Cee-Lo and Talib Kweli, this album bumps, grinds and blasts its way through any underground hip hop fan’s speakers.
And don’t forget the appearances of Aqua Teen Hunger Force’s most famed characters: Meatwad and Master Shake bust a rhyme or two in their cameo performances.
Key tracks include “Benzi Box,” which features Cee-Lo. The beat alone is enough to keep you listening to the track over and over.
Another great track on the CD is “Mince Meat.” Again, the beat provides the listener with enough bump and the lyrics that seem to never stop, as they take twists and turns that dish out the most fantastic raps.
One of the biggest treats on the entire album is “A.T.H.F.” where we are delightfully treated with raps from Aqua Teen Hunger Force characters. DangerDoom both provide their own rhymes about Carl, Frylock, Master Shake and all your other favorites.
The CD is by no means centered entirely around “Adult Swim” characters. Though some tracks feature these guys, the majority of the CD is the DangerDoom duo featuring other rap moguls. The end product is pure music to your ears.
