With Valentines Day upon us men are searching for the perfect gift to show that special someone how they feel about them.

Diamonds may be a girls best friend, but if you are looking for something a little bit cheaper chocolate may be the answer.

At Kay’s Cake and Candy Crafts located in Maumee, Ohio, you can really impress your girlfriend when you tell her that you made the chocolate especially for her. When you are at Kay’s Cake and Candy Crafts you can melt down your own chocolate and put it into any mold you choose.

The owner Carolyn Giraudeau suggests that the chocolate shaped roses in a gold box make a good Valentines Day gift. “It looks like you are actually getting a dozen roses,” Giraudeau said. If chocolate roses doesn’t sound like the perfect gift you can spell out how you feel with letters made from chocolate. A variety of other pre-maid chocolate treats are also available if you don’t have the time to make your own.

Apparently more women are coming into the store than men to buy chocolate because most men like to buy flowers for their girlfriend, according to Giraudeau. So, if you want to be original and impress your girlfriend this Valentines Day why not try a chocolate treat this year. Besides if she doesn’t like it at least you can eat it.

Kay’s Cake ‘ Candy Crafts Buckeye Recipe

Ingredients: 1/2 pound stick of butter or margarine, 1 cup peanutbutter, 1 1/4 cup powdered sugar.

1. Melt the butter/margerine

2. Remove butter/margerine from heat and stir in the peanut butter

3. Add powdered sugar, mix well

4. Roll the mix into balls

5. Chill the balls

6. Dip chilled balls into the chocolate
