This Valentine’s Day season local business in Perrysburg, Blush Aesthetics, has joined with The Cocoon to help the survivors of sexual and domestic violence. They hope to inspire the community to “Share the Love,” according to a press release by Blush Aesthetics.

Blush Aesthetics is a female owned business that sells and offers treatments to enhance beauty and focus on confidence and self love. The goal for this Valentine’s Day is to collect personal care items and beauty products that will be donated to The Cocoon. The Cocoon offers housing and other resources to those who are survivors of sexual and domestic violence.

According to the press release, Blush is donating some of their products and is encouraging the community to do so as well. People can “Share the Love” by donating items at Blush Aesthetics’ office.

They are accepting items such as African American hair products, hair care products, skincare, cosmetics, body care, new women’s underwear, gift cards for groceries, gas and more.

“We have partnered with The Cocoon in past years as well and really feel compelled to continue to support their work. In addition to donation drives, we also offer free treatments for scars caused by domestic violence,” stated Dr. Erin Hennessey, owner of Blush Aesthetics. “We know that a bottle of shampoo or new cosmetics can’t heal all of their pain, but if we can give them that moment of feeling better about themselves and loved by the community, then just maybe the next steps in their journey will come with renewed confidence.”

If you would like to “Share the Love,” donations can be dropped off between Feb. 1 through Feb. 14 at Blush Aesthetics.
