BGSU’s Jerome Library has been ranked No. 11 in the 50 most amazing college libraries in the United States, according to College Rank.

The Jerome Library has been around for over 50 years and is considered the academic heart of campus, stated a Tweet from BGSU.

The library has nine floors that together house over seven million books. Within the nine floors, students can find quiet places to study independently, or rooms for group study sessions.

A few features on the floors of Jerome include the Browne Pop Culture library on the fourth floor and the Music Library and Bill Schurk sound archives on the third floor.

While the Jerome Library offers a place for students to hang out and study, it is also full of resources such as the learning commons, laptop rentals, calculator checkout, umbrella checkout, scanners, printers, copiers and so much more.

“It’s not just study spaces and books, we have a lot more,” said Jazmyn Zurcher, a student who works at the library. “I enjoy having it on campus because of the resources we have. Knowing that if I need something, we most likely have it. And, like, course reserves are a thing we have, so not having to buy textbooks every semester is a big resource for students to use.”
