BGSU production of “Electra” opens next week

The BGSU production of “Electra” by Sophocles and adapted by Frank McGuinness opens next week on Thursday, Feb. 16, at the Eva Marie Saint Theatre in the Wolfe Center for the Arts. The production will run from Feb. 16 to Feb. 25. Feb. 18, 19 and 25 shows start at 2 p.m. and Feb. 23 to Feb. 25 shows start at 8 p.m. 

“Electra” is one of many BGSU productions to offer practical learning experiences to students interested in theater and the arts. BGSU’s theater program is accredited by the National Association of Schools of Theatre, an organization that sets standards for college productions including shows performed on BGSU’s campus.

BGSU’s Department of Theatre and Film has advertised this performance to the general public, meaning anyone is welcome to see the show. Advanced tickets are $5 for students, $10 for seniors and $15 for adults at bgsu.edu/the-arts/tickets. Tickets purchased at the box office on the day of the performance are $10 for students and $20 for both seniors and adults. Lot N will be free to park there on the dates and times during which “Electra” will run.
