The 2022 MAC Volleyball Champions have now turned their eyes to 2023 with the release of their schedule earlier this week. Over the course of the season, The Flacons will play against five teams that made the 2022 NCAA Tournament.

The Falcons open the season in tournament play beginning in Highland Heights, Kentucky against East Tennessee State at a tournament hosted by Northern Kentucky on Friday, August 25. Bowling Green’s Hampton Inn Invitational is set for August 31-September 2 with the field consisting of Bowling Green, Loyola Chicago, Texas A&M, and Wright State. Following the Hampton Inn Invitational, Bowling Green will compete in a final tournament on the road hosted by Colorado State.

Once the Falcons round out tournament play, one non-conference home-and-home matchup is set against the Big Ten’s Michigan Wolverines September 15 and 17.

The Falcons open Mid-American Conference play Thursday, September 21 as they take on the Northern Illinois Huskies at the Stroh Center. Following the series against Northern Illinois, Bowling Green will travel to Kalamazoo for two matches against Western Michigan for their first two MAC road matchups.

The first weekend in October will serve as a big one for the Falcons at the Stroh as the play host to the Battle of I-75 against Toledo Friday, October 6, followed the next day by a rematch of the 2022 MAC title match against the Ball State Cardinals.

Other road contests for the Falcons include two matches against the Ohio Bobcats and Akron Zips with single-matches against both Eastern and Central Michigan. After the big weekend against Toledo and Ball State, other home matches include two games against Kent State and Buffalo with the season finale on Wednesday, November 15 against the Miami Redhawks.
