Bowling Green women’s basketball coach Fred Chmiel announced the addition of Erika Porter to the Falcons roster. Porter, a West Windsor, New Jersey native, spent time at the University of Illinois before suiting up for the Baylor Bears last season.
Porter’s addition marks an important one for Bowling Green after the departure of key post players Jocelyn Tate and Allison Day following the 2022-2023 season. Porter brings in a plethora of Power 5 experience and has two years of college eligibility remaining headed into the 2023-2024 season.
“We are excited to welcome Erika to BGSU,” said BGSU Head Coach Fred Chmiel. “She brings in a wealth of experience, athleticism and size.
Porter has appeared in 55 collegiate contests across the two schools. Her career high of 15 points came in her sophomore season at Illinois when she dropped 15 points against Big Ten foe Wisconsin.
