The Toledo Walleye have already signed two players for the 2023-2024 season that have former BGSU ties, Brandon Hawkins and Sam Craggs. On Tuesday, the Walleye made it three players with BGSU ties after announcing the signing of former Falcon Brandon Kruse.
Kruse, once a leader on the Falcons, played four years at Bowling Green before transferring and playing his last year at Boston College during the 2021-2022 season. Following the 2021-2022 season, Kruse appeared in a trio of contests for the Henderson Silver Knights before the seasons end.
Most recently Kruse suited up for the Newfoundland Growlers where he tallied 44 points on 7 goals and 37 assists over the course of 69 games.
Although this will be Kruse’s first season in Toledo, he and Craggs will already have a sense of familiarity after playing four season of college hockey together; just down the road from the Huntington Center at the Slater Family Ice Arena.
