BGSU is bringing a barnyard petting zoo for students to get up close and personal with some furry creatures.
The barnyard petting zoo will feature animals like llamas, alpacas, donkeys, ponies, goats, sheep, ducks, chickens and bunnies.
BGSU students attended their first week of classes for the fall 2023 semester on Monday, Aug. 21. Students looking for the chance to wind down from the first of many weeks could benefit from the petting zoo, as research has shown animals can reduce stress levels.
The petting zoo will take place in front of the Jerome Library from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m. on Aug. 23.
The event is being organized by University Libraries, who have organized a variety of activities for the start of the school year. More information on University Libraries’ events can be found on their website.
