BGSU Cross Country opened the season Friday at Akron’s Tommy Evans Invitational. The women’s team placed first in the field of 16, led by first and second place finishes from Kailee Perry and Kylee Cubbison respectively.
The men’s team placed 12th out of 18 teams, with Heriberto Alvarez leading the way for the Falcons with a 34th place finish.
Both teams will be back in action at home for the Mel Brodt Open on Sept. 15.
