BGSU Men’s Golf finished third out of ten teams at the Earl Yestingsmeier Invitational on Sept. 9-10 at Delaware Country Club in Muncie, IN.
Ball State won their hosted golf outing, shooting 19 over par as a team, 16 strokes better than Butler, which finished in second place.
For the Falcons, they finished six strokes behind Butler in third place, shooting 41 over par.
Junior Darin Hudak once again had the best finish for the Falcons, this time ending his three rounds in fourth place, shooting four over par. Hudak was not the only Falcon in the top ten, as senior Thomas Bell shot seven over, good enough for seventh place.
The next Falcon could not be found on the scoreboard till 27 spots later, as fellow senior Brandon Rattray finished +15, ending the two-day tournament in 34th place. The next Falcon finisher was another senior, Dylan Fitchet, who shot one stroke more than Rattray (+16) in 38th place.
Junior Connor Gdovin shot good enough for 44th place at the tournament with a +18 over par performance over the two days. Wrapping up the standings for the Falcons was junior Brady Pevarnik, who finished four spots below Gdovin in 49th place, shooting 19 over par.
The Falcons will be back on the course September 25-26 for the Virtues Intercollegiate hosted by Miami (OH) in Nashport, Ohio.
