Bowling Green women’s soccer hit the road on Sunday to conclude the road portion of their 2023 schedule against the Ball State Cardinals.
Bowling Green found the board first with Brynn Gardner scoring on an assist from Ellie Pool to make it a 1-0 contest. Later in the first half the Cardinals would answer as Emily Roper found the back of the net to make it a 1-1 score.
Bowling Green had chances throughout the second half but it wasn’t until Brynn Gardner scored her second goal of the afternoon with just 28 seconds remaining, that the Falcons retook the lead, 2-1.
A true game-winning goal for Bowling Green helped the Falcons clinch a bye for the quarterfinal round of the conference tournament and also, keeps Bowling Green in the hunt for the regular season title with one game remaining.
The final regular season game for Bowling Green will be at home on Thursday, October 26, against the Northern Illinois Huskies with kickoff set for 3:00 p.m. EST.
