The Wood County Special Olympics has announced their annual fundraising event.
They will be hosting a reverse raffle, where there will be a chance to win $10,000 as well as a silent auction, dinner and chance games.
“By generous private donations and fundraisers, we have been able to provide the athletes with a quality program. Fundraising is a vital part of our ability to provide services free of charge to our athletes,” according to their website.
They will cover the costs of food, equipment, lodging, uniforms and costs of the facilities for each athlete.
Each Reverse Raffle ticket will cost $100 and will include dinner with the purchase of the ticket. One $40 dinner-only ticket may be purchased with a raffle ticket as well.
The Wood County Special Olympics sponsors 450 athletes that compete in nine sports. They provide training in sports for those with intellectual disabilities.
Everyone in attendance must be 21 or older.
