The Call for Papers – Approaching Academia: A Conference on Class and Culture will aim to enhance one’s education through the exploration of why and how popular culture and class are connected. This event is on March 15 and 16 in the Jerome Library.
There will be a brainstorm, workshop, and development of a pedagogic approach to bringing class studies into the classroom while also giving a voice to the students most impacted by economic uncertainties.
Key areas the topics will focus on are class representation in pop culture, class issues in academia, pedagogy and class studies, labor unions in contemporary culture and social outreach and activism.
Those interested must submit their proposals by Friday, Dec. 1 to [email protected]. There is no cost to submit or attend this hybrid event.
