The Bowling Green Falcons were in a three-game losing streak a month ago.
Now, the Falcons have won their seventh game in a row, this time against the Siena Heights Saints, 79-58.
The Falcons started the game rough, with the Saints jumping to a 6-2 lead in the opening two minutes. A minute later, Jason Spurgin hit a three-point shot to put the Falcons behind by one.
Halfway into a back-and-forth first half, EJay Greer hit a two-point shot to give Bowling Green their first lead of the half 14-13. Minutes later, Rashaun Agee made a layup to tie the game once again at 19-19.
The Falcons ended the first half down 29-28 to Siena Heights.
Second half? All Bowling Green.
Greer started the scoring in the second half with two made free throws to put the Orange and Brown up 30-29. Siena Heights hit a three-pointer to regain the lead, but PJ Edwards made a layup to tie the game once more 32-32.
The Falcons started a major scoring run halfway through the second half, capped off by an Agee dunk extending the Bowling Green lead to 15 points.
BG dominated the second half on the way to a 79-58 win, capping off the seventh win in a row. The Falcons scored 51 points in the second half en route to their ninth victory of the year.
All five Bowling Green starters scored double-digit points in the matchup. Trey Thomas led in scoring with 19 points on 7-11 shooting and Marcus Hill scored 15 points on 6-16 shooting.
As a team, Bowling Green shot 45.2% from the field. The Falcon defense totaled 16 steals.
BGSU’s next matchup will finally welcome MACtion into their schedule, facing Eastern Michigan on Jan. 2 at 6:00 p.m.
