The Bowling Green track and field team competed in the Penn State National Invitational and the Doug Raymond Invitational in a split day of competition on Friday and Saturday.
During the Falcons’ first day of competition, there were many personal records broken. Morgan Patterson’s jump of 18 feet, three inches led her to the team’s overall highest placement in the long jump, placing fifth.
Kailee Perry also reached a personal record in the Mile, marking 4:51.30 and placing 26th.
In the 60M hurdles, Kiera Bonds placed 24th with a 7.76 mark, while Darian Braddix finished at 7.95 in 40th place.
Izzy Best placed 38th in the 800m race, marking 2:19.45.
On the second day, Tiana Mulligan placed sixth in the 200m race.
In the triple jump, Bianca Staples placed second, tying third in the all-time BGSU list at 40 feet, nine inches. The invitational also brought personal bests for the team, with Emma Hellwege placing fifth in the Mile, marking 5:14.02.
In the 3000m, Regina Rose placed fourth with ten minutes and 22 seconds, while Rachael Withrow placed fifth with 10 minutes and 27 seconds.
In the field, Ava Wojciechowski placed 18th in shot put, while also making a personal record of 36 feet, 11 inches in weight throw and placing 24th.
Next week, The Falcons will be competing in South Bend, Indiana as they participate in the Meyo Invitational hosted by Notre Dame.
