The Bowling Green men’s golf team concluded play Tuesday afternoon at the Ross Collegiate Classic in Southern Pines, North Carolina.
The team finished 20th out of 22 teams posting a score of +32 and just beating out Saint Joseph’s and St. Bonaventure.
Junior Darin Hudak led the way for the Falcons as he tied for 34th place with a score of +3 (79-71-74-219). Behind him was senior Brandon Rattray, who tied for 45th with a score of +7 (70-76-77-223). Trailing not too far behind him was senior Thomas Bell, who tied for 47th with a +8 score (75-75-74-224).
Tying for 67th place was senior Dylan Fitchet, who shot +12 (79-75-74-228). Rounding out the team was sophomore Ethan Irvine, +23 (81-81-77-239).
Individual scores had Brady Pevarnik placing 47th with a +8 (80-72-72-224) and Luke Evans placing 98th shooting +30 (83-86-77-246).
Bowling Green, compared to fellow Mid-American Conference members in the tournament, finished last as Ohio was just above them tying for 11th place with a score of +19. Eastern Michigan placed sixth posting a score of +15.
Rounding out the MAC was Miami, who placed second, only losing the tournament by one stroke as they shot -9.
Bowling Green returns to action on March 25th and 26th as they travel to South Pittsburg, Tennessee to face off against Miami OH for match play at Sweetens Cove Golf Club.
