The spring window for the college football transfer portal officially opened on April 16, and a handful of Falcons wasted no time seeking other opportunities.
Here’s a list of Falcons currently in the NCAA transfer portal, as of April 16:
Defensive lineman Bam Booker
After transferring in prior to 2023 after one season at Maryland, Booker played sparingly last season for Bowling Green. According to the team’s website, he only recorded stats in three games: three total tackles (two solo, one assisted) and a tackle for loss.
Eligibility remaining: 3
Outside Linebacker Marquette Harris
Like Booker, Harris also transferred in prior to the 2023 season, but saw the field even less. He only appeared in three games last season, recording no stats per the team site.
Eligibility remaining: 3
Defensive back Justin Lynch
Lynch joined the Falcons in 2023 as well, after spending 2021 and 2022 at Laney Community College. He appeared in two games last season, recording no stats.
Eligibility remaining: 2
Wide receiver Tae’Shaun Johnson
Johnson, who had been with the Falcons since his freshman season (2021), missed all of 2022 to injury and did not appear in any games in 2023. He appeared in two games back in 2021, but did not record any stats.
Eligibility remaining: 3
Defensive back/Linebacker Canaan Williams
Joining the Falcons in 2022, Williams did not appear in a single game over the last two seasons.
Eligibility remaining: 4
Linebacker Diego Neri
Hopping in the portal as a graduate transfer, Neri appeared in 38 out of 38 possible games since joining the Falcons in 2021. He recorded 41 total tackles and a sack over his three seasons in Bowling Green, including a career-high 22 in his true freshman season.
Eligibility remaining: 1 (+ redshirt)
There are still some residual Falcons that remain in the portal from the winter cycle, including KOS Jack Sauder, DT Kitione Tau, CB Deshawn Jones Jr., TE Hayden Timosciek, DBs Jordan Jackson and Steve Lubischer, and RB Nick Mosley.
