Earlier this month, BGSU began offering virtual mental health well-being programs this summer for students to attend as needed. All meetings will be free and offered virtually with two different kinds of meetings.
Mindful Moments will be offered from 8:30 to 9 a.m. on Mondays and noon to 12:30 p.m. on Thursdays. These meetings will be available from May 13 to Aug. 1 with no sessions on May 27 and July 4. These meetings provide guided mindfulness practice and education on tools to promote mental well being.
Mental Well-Being Skills will be offered May 14 to Aug. 2, bi-weekly on Tuesdays from 4 to 4:30 p.m. – May 14 and 28, June 11 and 25, and July 9 and 23, and Fridays from noon to 12:30 p.m. on May 24, June 7 and 21, July 19, and August 2. These meetings provide an opportunity to learn and practice mental well-being strategies including self-compassion, setting boundaries, work-life balance, and preventing burnout.
All meetings are free, virtual, and open to all faculty, staff, and students.
