The Mid-American Conference announced BGSU placed 22 athletes on its women’s track and field academic all conference team.
The conference named 178 athletes to the squad, awarded to student-athletes with a minimum 3.20 cumulative GPA and who have participated in at least 50 percent of the contests for the particular sport. First-year students and any transfer in their first residence are not eligible for the award.
The Falcons, who finished in ninth place at the MAC Outdoor Track and Field Championship, recorded the second-highest total in the conference with 22 honorees. Kent State topped the list with 29.
