Byron Center High School forward Camden Karel has announced his commitment to Bowling Green men’s basketball. Karel is the first class of 2025 commitment for the Falcons.

The 6-foot-9-inch power/small forward is Michigan’s fourth-ranked overall recruit and the state’s top forward prospect.

Karel chose the Falcons over offers from Western Michigan, Eastern Michigan, Kent State, Toledo, Hofstra, Oakland, Detroit Mercy and Central Arkansas. He also received interest from numerous other schools, including Michigan State.

According to Next College Student Athlete (NCSA) College Recruiting, Karel describes his strengths as “working in the paint, a great midrange shot, shooting the three-point, ambidextrous dribbling/shooting and cutting to the basket, pick and roll, rebounding and lights out defense.”
