Another website created a list of America’s best cities and Ohio landed seven, including Toledo.
Resonance Consultancy released the list with New York City at the top and Modesto, California at the other end. The seven Ohio cities fall in between, though none broke the top 25.
Columbus ranked as the top Ohio city at 34 with cost of living and internet access highlighted by the Resonance methodology. Cleveland landed at 40 and Cincinnati at 42 to round out Ohio’s entries in the top 50.
Akron came in at 63 and Dayton at 68. Meanwhile, Toledo landed at 71 with the Resonance methodology highlighting the city’s average rent (ranked 5th out of 100) and cost of living (ranked 12th out of 100). The website’s description lauds Toledo’s diverse economy and says while it is “an arts and culture hub” the city’s “middling #90 ranking in our Culture subcategory is saddled by a lack of awareness.”
Toledo finds itself just above Memphis and well above the only other Ohio city on the list, Youngstown, which landed at 95 despite earning the top spot for average rent and landing at #3 for cost of living.
Nearby Detroit landed at 27 on the list while Indianapolis landed at 43.
Resonance also released reports on Europe’s best cities and the world’s best cities. Spoiler alert – six U.S. cities placed in the top 25 of world cities.
