Bowling Green State University announced a partnership with Influxer, an officially licensed vendor who creates co-branded apparel customized with players’ names and numbers for over 100 universities, on Thursday afternoon.
All 426 BGSU student-athletes can monetize their name, image and likeness (NIL) by creating their own webpage where they can showcase customized gear and apparel with their name and number.
“Influxer is excited about this partnership with the Falcons to bring a great NIL opportunity that benefits everyone,” Influxer Vice President Keith Miller said in a BGSU athletics press release. “Jake Warnke and the administration have been extremely diligent in not only emphasizing the end product of the opportunity but also recognizing the business experience the process brings to student-athlete development.”
Current student-athlete-branded merchandise that can be purchased includes jerseys, t-shirts, long-sleeve shirts, hoodies, stainless steel tumblers, coasters and pendants.
Through its partnership with BGSU, Influxer will provide education and training in marketing, entrepreneurship and personal branding for BG student-athletes.
Along with the online store, Influxer will oversee fulfillment and customer service while collaborating with BGSU and BG student-athletes on creative elements and marketing.
Current BGSU student-athletes who have created their own webpage with personalized gear through the new partnership include:
